HARDWORK ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH
๐จIf you were born to a POOR background, with little to zero access, No “connections” or opportunities from your family, HARD WORK is barely enough♻️
You do need series of GOOD FORTUNE & arbitrary advantages to even get HALF as far, legitimately it’s an UNFAIR start. The cards are stacked against you.
๐จFor every “rags to riches” story you hear, understand that, there are probably a thousand OTHERS who couldn’t make it Not because they have been LAZY, some literally work the hardest, but life happens.
Rich, poor, we ALL have ambitions. Ambitions are free.
But it’s DIFFICULT being poor & knowing you MAY not realize your ambitions..
The constant sense of URGENCY to upscale is always there, Growing up, my neighborhood was littered with bright gems - potentials.
Today, many of them are BARELY scratching just to get by.
Indeed, the RACE is NOT for the swift nor the battle to the strong (Eccl. 9:11)
๐จTo be poor is to continuously live under TENSE conditions… ♻️
No other set of people SUFFER such a capacity for thought mixed with a complexity of envision of but FRUSTRATED possibilities.
This tempts you to question the UNFAIRNESS of tribal & social imperatives ‼️
So here’s my take….
๐จSo when “advantaged” folks be shouting “work hard! work hard!!” as if … ♻️
Only THAT can get you all you need, it baffles me. In Ghana, you need MORE than just “hard work” especially when “connections” & family SUPPORT are non-existent.
So Hustle, by all means- but leave room for the Giver of good fortunes -GOD ๐๐พ
May WE escape poverty & make a NAME
๐จJob 28:7-8 KJV
There is a PATH which no fowl knows, & which the vulture’s eye hath not seen.
The lion’s whelps have not TRODDEN, nor the fierce lion passed it. ๐
May the Lord BLESS our hustle & lead us to the PATH that GUARANTEES our labour pays off good dividends.
Everything GOOD will come ๐๐พ.
